CATHY BERNARD, THE DIRECTOR
Cathy Bernard has danced since early childhood both locally and throughout the East Coast.
Her training includes intensive study of Jazz and Tap as well as classical training in Ballet.
She has studied with Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett, Danny Sloan, Phil Black, Carol Tierney,
June Taylor, Gregory Hines, Sue Ronson, Gay Nardone and Diane Walker.
Ms. Bernard has choreographed works for and performed with the Northeastern University Jazz
Workshop. She has taught many master classes in the New England area.
She has taught in Southern New Hampshire since 1974. Ms. Bernard has been studying
Pilates since September 2000 and has successfully completed the instructor training for mat and reformer.
She is a Certified Stott Pilates Instructor.
LIZ CRITTENDEN
Ms. Crittenden began teaching at The Dancing Corner in 1990 as the primary instructor of our
Ballet program. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology and has over 20 years of classical
ballet experience. She previously taught ballet at The Ballet Workshop.
Ms. Crittenden has been studying Pilates since September 2000 and has successfully completed the instructor
training for mat and reformer. She is a Certified Stott Pilates Instructor.We are proud to have her as a member of The Dancing Corner faculty.
LAUREL REVELEY
Ms. Reveley began training with the Granite State Ballet and received a degree for dance from Dean Junior College and
Bachelor of Arts degree from Keene State College. She has performed and choreographed for faculty and student-run dance
concerts. She has participated in ACDF, performed in with such artists as Alta Lu Townes, Marcia Murdock, Bill Fowler, Jayne Persch,
David Drummond, Kelley Donovan and Perla Joy Furr. She is the founder of Laurel Fahy & Collaboration. She's choreographed
for children's musician, Gary Rosen. We enjoy having her as part of The Dancing Corner faculty.
TARA BOWLAN
Ms. Bowlan has been studying dance for over 22 years at studios throughout New England. For 6 years, she has been teaching
ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and tap. She has performed with various dance companies and in numerous plays as well as
musicals. She has also choreographed for performing and competitive dance teams. Ms. Bowlan is very dedicated to the art of
dance and is a welcome addition to The Dancing Corner faculty.
LEA APPLE
Ms. Apple began her dance training in Nashua, NH under the direction of Arlene Ashton. She later
studied at various studios in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Lea then studied in New York
City under the direction of Margaret Craske and Diana Byer. She went on to dance with New York
Theatre Ballet Company. Ms. Apple graduated magna cum laude from Bradford College with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Creative Arts. During her time at Bradford she continued her studies in ballet,
jazz and modern. We are happy to welcome Ms. Apple to The Dancing Corner faculty.
