FACULTY

CATHY BERNARD, THE DIRECTOR

Cathy Bernard has danced since early childhood both locally and throughout the East Coast. Her training includes intensive study of Jazz and Tap as well as classical training in Ballet. She has studied with Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett, Danny Sloan, Phil Black, Carol Tierney, June Taylor, Gregory Hines, Sue Ronson, Gay Nardone and Diane Walker. Ms. Bernard has choreographed works for and performed with the Northeastern University Jazz Workshop. She has taught many master classes in the New England area. She has taught in Southern New Hampshire since 1974. Ms. Bernard has been studying Pilates since September 2000 and has successfully completed the instructor training for mat and reformer. She is a Certified Stott Pilates Instructor.

LAUREL REVELEY

Ms. Reveley began training with the Granite State Ballet and received a degree for dance from Dean Junior College and Bachelor of Arts degree from Keene State College. She has performed and choreographed for faculty and student-run dance concerts. She has participated in ACDF, performed in with such artists as Alta Lu Townes, Marcia Murdock, Bill Fowler, Jayne Persch, David Drummond, Kelley Donovan and Perla Joy Furr. She is the founder of Laurel Fahy & Collaboration. She's choreographed for children's musician, Gary Rosen. We enjoy having her as part of The Dancing Corner faculty.

TARA COTE

Ms. Cote has been studying dance for over 22 years at studios throughout New England. For 6 years, she has been teaching ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and tap. She has performed with various dance companies and in numerous plays as well as musicals. She has also choreographed for performing and competitive dance teams. Ms. Bowlan Cote is very dedicated to the art of dance and is a welcome addition to The Dancing Corner faculty.

LEA APPLE

Ms. Apple began her dance training in Nashua, NH under the direction of Arlene Ashton. She later studied at various studios in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Lea then studied in New York City under the direction of Margaret Craske and Diana Byer. She went on to dance with New York Theatre Ballet Company. Ms. Apple graduated magna cum laude from Bradford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Arts. During her time at Bradford she continued her studies in ballet, jazz and modern. We welcome her to The Dancing Corner faculty.

ANN MARIE LIDMAN

Ms. Lidman began her ballet training at an early age. She has studied classical ballet, modern and tap dance. In 2005 she participated in Regional Dance of America’s Northeast Festival. Ms. Lidman has performed in numerous ballets and productions. She has performed with the Palace Theater’s professional production of “The Nutcracker” for many years. Ms. Lidman has been teaching students of all ages throughout the southern New Hampshire area for over 6 years. She is currently teaching at Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater, Gate City Ballet and is happy to be a part of the faculty of The Dancing Corner in Nashua.

JEN ODIERNA

Ms. Odierna has been studying dance at The Dancing Corner for over 22 years. She is trained in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, hip hop, ballroom, and swing, and has had experience teaching all levels of dance. While attending Wheaton College, she co-founded the Norton Youth Theater, for which she choreographed musicals for 5th-8th graders. Also, while at Wheaton, she studied dance and participated in workshops with Savion Glover and the Alvin Ailey II Dance Company. She has worked for the Boston Ballet Summer Programs Office and assisted in the Boston Ballet’s adaptive dance program for children with Down syndrome. In 2008, Ms. Odierna received her Masters in Dance Therapy from Lesley University. Because of her dedication to the art of dance, Ms. Odierna is excited to be a part of this elite team of teachers.

KATY NORDHOUGEN

Ms. Nordhougen has been a dancer for over 30 years. She is a DMDC alumnus, performer, and veteran teacher, sharing her love of dance with students from Boston to Lowell. Katy received her B.A. from Roger Williams University where she concentrated in English, Dance and Philosophy. She is AFAA and ZUMBA certified and teaches fitness in several private gyms, schools and corporate programs. We are happy to welcome her to The Dancing Corner faculty.

JEN BEAUDRY

Ms. Beaudry began her dance training at a very early age at the Dancing Corner, where she studied Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet and Modern. As a young dancer, she also performed in The Nutcracker with Granite State Ballet (now Northern Ballet Theatre). Ms. Beaudry continued her training at the University of New Hampshire where she performed with the UNH Dance Company for four years under the direction of Larry Robertson and Gay Nardone. In 1995, Ms. Beaudry was selected by the UNH dance faculty to receive the prestigious Jean Mattox Scholarship Award for excellence in dance. For the last several years, Ms. Beaudry, along with her sister Cora, has been busy choreographing musical productions for Hollis/Brookline High School including Anything Goes, Footloose and Singin’ in the Rain. We are excited to have Ms. Beaudry
